Happy Birthday Friend ...

Every year on the 12th of June, it rains no matter what the weather is like in the previous or following days ... my friend always asked about how this happened every year and the only thing i cud ever think of was "God had to give up an Angel for us on this day, and so he cries on every 12th of June" ...

Its 12th of June and is my closest friend's birthday ... she is the apple of a lot of people's eyes and is loved by everyone near and dear to her ... so this blog is dedicated to one of the most smart, funny, beautiful and cool persons existing on this planet ...

She is one very talented and unique female ... i've never come across one so strong-willed and determined in my life ... If she has to do something, she does it with absolute perfection and superb class n flair ... she takes pride in her achievements but can never see her as over-confident ... one of the most attractive thing about her is that she can be self-sufficient whenever she wants and is independant like a free bird ... frankly, i've seen a lot of girls who have atleast once said that they wished that they were boys, but, my friend ... never ... she's happy being the girl she is today and I admire her a lot just cos of that ... All I ever wanna say is that it has been an honour being her friend and i'll always be proud of her ... I just pray to god to bless her with all the gifts of happiness in this world ...

Lastly, I'd like to just quote the song by Elvis Costello for my beautiful friend ...
She
May be the face I can't forget
A trace of pleasure or regret
May be my treasure or the price I have to pay
She may be the song that summer sings
May be the chill that autumn brings
May be a hundred different things
Within the measure of a day.

She
May be the beauty or the beast
May be the famine or the feast
May turn each day into a heaven or a hell
She may be the mirror of my dreams
A smile reflected in a stream
She may not be what she may seem
Inside her shell

She who always seems so happy in a crowd
Whose eyes can be so private and so proud
No one's allowed to see them when they cry
She may be the love that cannot hope to last
May come to me from shadows of the past
That I'll remember till the day I die

She ...

ahh..counting streetlights..I am intrigued. Is it like a sport??;)maybe doing that instead would make me stop using "frigging";)

maybe because the streetlights are bored trying 2 play some half-baked version of soccer...why don't u try changing the rules a bit...how about introducing some cheer-leaders??That should be enough to get them running..

alright..here's my plan-let me handle the "100-watts bulb enticer" apparatus(??)...u can probably get some ppl who can do the yelling part considering you are so frigging amused with the word anyway..the media can be involved...& who knows...this might actually get the prime-time slot on some crazy sports channel...i mean, think of the TRPs this is gonna fetch..which idiot wouldn't want to see whether 22 street lights would or wouldn't run after a ball...i know,i sure do!

yeah ... n I've the perfect channel for ur game ... ESPN 8 "The OCHO" ... its USP is "If its a game, we'll show it" ... saw it in this movie Dodgeball ...

hey...welcome back sam..& gr8 idea abt the channel!"Dodgeball"
is 1 silly movie but i guess it's ideal time-pass for people like me who've got nothing better to do anyway..

@sunny: the rapping wouldn't ofcourse be during the game..wouldn't want to break their conc. 4 the world..but u need to keep the crowd entertained during breaks as well right?unless ofcourse you are expecting the soap watching people to turn up..because that means we would have to come up with 5-min tear-jerking skits involving atleast 3 divorces,18 extra-marital affairs & 23 shocked looks(for the end ofcourse!)

it's good to be optimistic but 2 decades to finalize the deal may be a bit too ambitious for an event so colossal in its importance & so far-reaching in its impact...the authorities might wanna see a live-demo of "the Apparatus" as well..

HOW could u not have asked the street-lights yet!! Your persuasion & negotiation skills might be adequate for mere mortals but with streetlights, its a whole different ball-game(as i have discovered recently)So much depends on their consent...am gettin' goose-bumps already! All I can say is-May the Force be with you.

can't really blame the streetlights for disliking gangsta rap or any other kinda rap for that matter..& shouting too can be done away with..anything to please the future superstars.

What's with Janet Jackson for the opening act...you are kiddin' right?what if Justin Timberlake's around again..this is prime-time sports entertainment we are talkin' about..how about someone else who's not over the hill & well...er..not prone to "malfunctions" of any kind, wardrobe or otherwise.

Hey
I also agree wid Sukanya..
Y to repeat the SuperBowl incident….
You sudn’t take ne risk wid so many moral policing done in India… who knows wots in store 4 u
They might paint ur house black (Black in this scorching summer, you gonna burn urself).
They might burn ur effigy too (OK dis 1 sounds interesting ;))
Then they might dig ur pitch er… U don’t hav a pitch… I guess ur ground have to be the road and they might dig it up..
To hell with ur innovative sport it will be cause of a lot of problem for many commuters ( I may be 1 of them)
All this gives u negative publicity and now don’t say publicity is publicity

So, please scrap dat idea…..
